Where to begin? I’m a mail carrier by day and a seminarian by night. My interests include philosophy, theology, and biblical studies. This site is my attempt to write regularly, even when I’m too tired. My writing will lean, though not exclusively, toward philosophical exploration and investigation.
I am a Christian. That is, my hope and trust is in the risen Jesus, my Lord and Savior. My desire is for my writing to reflect my faith in His Person and work by instilling in myself and others a habit of understanding and analysis that represents ideas, worldview, and arguments as accurately as possible. This will be a trial and error web site, and anyone who happens to find themselves here, with a suggestion/criticism/encouragement/haiku is welcome to offer it. I only ask that it’s relevant to the topic. If it’s a spelling correction, that’s fine too!
The title of this site is taken from an expression used by Qohelet in Ecclesiastes to express his frustration with the world:
“Everything is meaningless,” says the Teacher, “completely meaningless!” What advantage does man have in all his work Which he does under the sun? (Ecc. 1:2-3)
“What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.” (Ecc. 1:9)
I don’t expect for this website to be read enough to need a comment policy, but here is a general rule to live (and comment) by:
In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets (Matt. 7:12).
